Having read and enjoyed the first two books in this series, I was thrilled when I found out a third book had finally been published. I hope Evelyn David plans another Mac Sullivan adventure--soon!!

Got hooked on this series couple years ago. Very charming and addictive characters. Looking forward to the next chapter aka book.
A very interesting story with intrigue and friendships that is filled with love and mutual togetherness. A book that keeps you wanting to know what is going to happen next.
This whole series is great. It is fast paced and keeps you guessing until the end. The characters become friends you root for. Enjoy!

Rachel did not "sunk" into a chair. The verb goes sink, sank (past tense), sunk (past participle). She sank into a chair.
Worse is the passage "Three garbage cans sat at the curb waiting for trash collection the next day. Next to them was a green plastic container marked recyclables." As a person who has lived in Arlington, VA, since 1973, I take exception. We put dark colored wheeled plastic mini-dumpsters to the curb. Our current recyclable containers are royal blue, slightly smaller, mini-dumpsters. They were preceded by bright yellow rectangular bins. Arlington has never had green recyclables containers.
It makes a person worry about the rest of the background research -- especially that which supposedly has something to do with the resolution of the plot.
I was really thrilled when I heard that there was a new adventure with Mac and Whiskey the Irish Wolfhound This was so hard to put down because it was such a well written story. If you love great adventures amd large breed dogs you will really love this book. Try it you will be impressed

I love this series and I especially love the latest book where the appearance of an annual postcard of a missing teen from years ago arrives at Mac's office which sets of an adventure that spiraled out of control with some surprising discoveries that made the chase even sweeter. Who knew that the action of one, will take this 10-year odyssey to a climatic ending that makes the team of Evelyn David one of the best prolific writers that I know.
This page-turning, action-filled drama had my attention from the beginning and when that aha moment came, I was like "wow", I never saw that one coming. This is a nicely woven mystery with some good fun humor, with witty banter; and the dysfunctional familial relationship that exists between Mac, Rachel, JJ and Edgar that is both engaging and endearing. A great read and I look forward to more adventures with Mac and his friends in this terrific series.
